12V outlet between cup holders stopped working

So after getting the passenger window fixed a few weeks ago ... the 12V outlet in the cup area died on me tonight while I was using it for my GPS.

My cell phone charger connector won't work in it either so it's not an issue with my GPS's adapter. Both of the devices still work in the 12V outlet in the arm rest.

To add to it, the car is making some sort of rattling / jingling noise at around 1500rpm. So I'll hear it at around that range but not at other rpms. It's not super loud but it does bug me that it makes that noise. It's annoying. I've heard that same noise at idle when I get out of the car and I see that there's a thread pointing out that the 28i doesn't come with the damping installed at the factory.

So off to try to get this fixed.

Might want to check to see if the fuse is blown.

Don't do anything. Take it back to the dealer and have them fix it under warranty. You never want to do anything that would give the dealer a chance to say "well, whatever you did caused this". Don't worry you will have plenty of chances to fix things when the warranty runs out!

I absolutely agree. I've already emailed my SA to schedule the appointment and won't be doing anything to the car.

Great. Have you also agreed to a BMW loaner?

I haven't heard back from the dealer yet. When my car was in the shop last time for two weeks, I was driving around in a 335d. I'm assuming that I'll be in a loaner car this time as well. I'll be sure to stipulate that I'd like that if I have to leave the car there.
