fuse for cigarette lighter

can someone please tell me the fuse location for the cigarette lighter in a 2009 328 i

Unfortunately, from what I understand most BMW models have variants on the fuse panel within models and model years. Your best bet is to get the fuse card, which should be clipped to the panel cover.

Look for a symbol representing the lighter. It's typically:

minus sign THEN half circle with dot in center connected to arrow going right THEN plus sign.

There will be a number next to the symbol. That's the number of the fuse to pull. A diagram will show which number relates to which slot on the panel.

For my car, it's fuse #8, but someone can't guarantee you with any certainty what your number is without your fuse card, even if they're the same model and year.
