Hey Phatlipt745, do you have any non-blurry pics of your lowrider? I'd love to see it.

With my kids riding bikes, I got a new Specialized Rockhopper this summer. A lot of new technology since I last bought a mountain bike. I love the disc brakes!

Some sweet bikes on here. Here is what I have:
The up-and-downer MTB- 2006 Kona Fire Mountain (when disc brakes were first becoming affordable) The around-towner- 2009 Specialized Langster Boston edition, single speed And no, I don't ride fixie that often, just freewheel most of the time. ![]() ![]() Sent from my Droid Incredible

Upgraded the tires to Continental Gatorskins which take 120psi as opposed to the Original tires which only took about 80psi. Much better on the road with the new tires. I just did a 35 mile charity ride at Pine Mountain, GA last week. Litereally the first bit of riding I've done since I was a teenager than involved hills and some hills were long. I was afraid I was going to crack on the first little incline out of the parking lot. But I got through it. The fat guy made it to the end. Next year I will ride the 60 mile loop. And in two years I plan to get a proper road bike and attempt the 100 mile loop. But for now, the Marin suits me very nicely. Came down to this and the Specialized Sirrus Sport.

Bimmers and bikes...love 'em both!
My bikes include: - '86 Trek 700 Tri-series (my first bike that actually fit) - '90 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp (great riding MTB; nimble and well balanced, steel fork) - '91 Davidson Impulse; custom paint; 8-sp Campy Record brifter, Chorus rear derailleur, Shimano Dura-Ace crankset, hubs, cassette, brakeset (love this bike for the steel ride, Tange Prestige tubes) - '03 Serotta Legend Ti; custom built, Campy Record 10 (steel is real, Ti flies!) Hope to get a carbon bike on of these days...too many to choose. Been using a Yakima roof rack since '86 and recently bought another Yakima rack for my wife's Highlander so we can carry four bikes for family rides. The fork mounts (Steelhead) are definitely robust compared to my old rack! Cheers, Zoomie |

I've got a Marin Nail Trail hardtail that's been good to me (most of the time) the last 5 years. I need an upgrade to FS badly though, so I'm looking at some sort of All-mountain bike that'll handle the occasional DH bike park yet still can be pedaled. And of course, staying within budget will be the hard part.

My choice was between the Marin, Specialized, and Trek as well. I only listed the two because the Trek was just more expensive and not really better in any way. I liked the Specialized a lot but liked the geometry of the Marin and the front Carbon Fiber fork. I bought it at a local shop in Atlanta that sells both the Sirrus Sport and the Marin Fairfax Alp and they recommended the Marin slightly over the Sirrus.

Old Cannondale - 22lb hardtail. XTR derailleur, DTSwiss hubs, front hydraulic brakes...fully custom built over the years.
I try to get out 2 - 3 times a week, 8 to 10 miles a trip. ![]() Also, just bought my son a Trek 3900 disk for his birthday. Trying to get him on the trails with me... ![]() ![]() I'd laugh at the old guys above if I could...but I just turned 40 myself

Love my Titus Switchblade. Don't think I'll ever find a better bike. This thing climbs like a goat! I mount my Oregon 450 GPS, and used this combo for a number of geo-caching rides too.
Also have a Trek 6500 HT. About the only thing original on that rig is the frame. I've swapped out everything else. |

I ride a Specialized SWorks Epic, used to ride a Lenz Sport Revolution(first bike I built by myself when I was 13), and my old road bike was a Klein Qcarbon (out grew it so my mom bought it).
Plus a few other bikes we have around the garage. I think we have like 6? Ha. Dad has a Sworks Epic as well, just in an XLarge frame. (Just thought this looked funny lol) Dads Epic My old Lenz Dads Qcarbon Pro Moms Qcarbon ![]() My SWorks, hard to read anything on it but meh. ![]() Poor car stuck all the way in the corner is it obvious I moved home not too long ago / sold a car? ![]()

Specialized Secteur Triple. Been very happy with this purchase so far. I have almost 400 miles on it now and it just seems to be riding better every time I take it out.

I'm thinking of moving from my flat bar road bike up to the Secteur. How is the geometry compared to the Sirrus? Is it significantly more aggressive? My biggest concern is my back and how much harder the Secteur would be on it.
