Buying a 1995 BMW 318i???

I am currently looking for a BMW to buy and I ran into a 1995 BMW 318i with 170,000 miles. The asking price for this car is $2,500.00. The car looks in good condition. The paint is in perfect condition and the interior looks good as well. I don't have much knowledge on BMW's and this will be my first one. But I am still having second thoughts because the miles on the car is high. Is it worth it?

170k isn't that high if it's been well maintained. Check the sticky about buying an E36 for more info on what you should look for.

Save yourself the trouble and buy an e36 with 6 cylinders. You'll be on here in a week asking about power upgrades.

You are probably right about looking for something faster.
