Cigarette lighter no longer working

My Car Cigarette Lighter seems to longer work. I bought a car charger for my phone today and nothing happened when i plugged it into the lighter. I tried several other devices and chargers and got the same outcome. I'm not a big DIY kinda guy so i know its gonna cost me, even though I don't have alot of money to play with How should I go about getting this to work/repaired or renewed? advice? recommendations?

anything is welcome

thx,
-clear

I hooked up a charge port (cig lighter) in the glove box, powered by the wires that charge the factory flashlight
