X6 E71 / E72 (2008 - 2014)
The BMW X6 luxury crossover went on sale in April 2008 as a 2009 model year. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The E71 X6 was built off the E70 X5 (2007 - 2013) platform at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Total worldwide sales were just over 235,000, sold mostly to the BRIC countries. US total sales was 34,082 vehicles.

Question Purchasing 09 X6 5.0..but don't think I'm being offered a good deal..

I'm new here. I'm in the process of purchasing a 2009 X6 5.0 and am supposed to be picking it up this weekend. It has almost 18,000 miles on it.

My concern though is whether I'm being jurked around on the price (I'm a female). They were asking $62,000 for it. It has all of the main packages..Comfort Access, Sport Pack., Cold Weather, Premium Sound, Rear view camera, Premium Package.

The first thing we told the salesman (this is at a well known BMW dealership) was that we wanted the best price possible..hoping they would take off at least $3000 since the 2012's are out, but they don't seem to want to come down.

I left a deposit for it and everything's ready to go..but today I found a 2009 with 16,000 loaded for $54,999..it's just not the color I wanted.

I called the salesman to let him know what I'd found at a different dealership..and he immediately seemed frustrated..saying that the deal was done and that there wasn't much he could do. What I wanted to say was, "sir MY deal isn't done until I say it is"..but I just told him that since I called while he was off today..to wait until he got back into the office tomorrow.

I hate dealing with used car salesmen

Any advice??? Thanks

I mean you could always walk... Might not get the deposit back. But if the savings far outweigh the deposit I'd do i. Personally I opted to not look into the 2009's because its pre Idrive update.

This is the only 2009 x6 50i in my area for 30 miles (50i 35k miles for $59k) and I'd say if you can get another fully loaded for $54k (or a few bucks less, I think you could at least get $500 of the price) you got a good deal. I'd just run the autocheck and carfax to be sure. And if it's a BMW dealer ask to see the internal history report (the one that only the dealer is allowed to have) on both cars.

The internal report shows everything. For instance I had a 335 I got cpoed and when I asked for it, I saw some things that neither carfax/autocheck caught (nothing bad, but just stuff you wouldn't see)

Recap: $7k off almost 2k less miles just do the background stuff and I'd say get that one

well, for used car, hard to say about the price. but, for used car, normally, price = quilty. I know there's a cheaper used car, but how can you say is better than the one you looking for?

Never put deposit before you 100% sure to buy.
