New toy for the cars.... DashDaq Datalogger.
I bought one of those OBDII data-loggers from Dashdaq.
I was using to data-log ect / ait's for the blown clk. Next up will be to data-log the 550i. Curious about boost / rpm...... once I figure out how to graph, I'll post up some data for the data hounds amoung us. Anyone else data-log? Jeff |

Ah, cool. I know that in my Volvo, this could not read boost. Can it here?

I can't read boost in my blown clk.... but the clk was originally n/a.... so the map sensor only reads -pressue to 0psi.
I'm hopeful since the 550i comes with turbo's, the map will read true manifold pressure....... and I can access it via obd-ii data-logger. I'd have to think the computer monitor's actual boost. But I will report back as soon as I can pry the steering wheel from the wife. |

The issue is not the sensors, its the connectivity. The Volvo was a turbo, but the boost was not reported over the standard OBD circuit. It was proprietary so these type of units could not log it. You had to get a logger built to read Volvo's CANBUS.

I have dashcommand and torque apps for my phone and a bluetooth OBDII adaptor. To be honest, it's a neat thing to have but I don't get enough samples/second to make it really useful. I haven't played around too much, but the standard OBDII parameters don't show boost for the N63. I don't know if you need a custom PID or if there is another way to interpolate it, but I haven't had any luck.

The c32 crowd is data-logging boost.
I'm looking into a piggyback wideband 02... it's easy enough to add the boost module which all plug into the dashdaq.... so you can data-log on the same rpm base-line. Ideally I want: AFR Boost ECT AIT Timing rpm But we'll see where I'm starting with just the dash daq. |
