I've not been hearing much about MB's latest offerings having many issues, but that could simply be a result of the types that buy them - super low mileage cars rarely have time to develop issues.

Relevant comparison. Has some pretty interesting track times, including a speed vs track position graph which is rather telling (spoiler alert: the M3 dominates the curved sections). The IS-F isn't even considered a competitor in this class of vehicle by EVO.

The Boss302...now there's a peice of American muscle my dad would wax poetic over...and that we can be proud of...the thing is, I am a girl who gets off on the sound and thrust of big V8 power...but i also like a bit of refinement in my ride. And since you spend so much time IN the car, the interior...the dime store look and feel of the Ford and most U.S. cars, save the CTS-V, leaves me cold. I get that they are trying to preserve that RETRO thingy, but come'on, it's time we give the Euro's a run for it...

IS-F was kinda nice inside in a futuristic bling-bling sorta way.
M3 is more classic interior, M3 seems to have nicer leather and just LOVE that carbon graphite trim, woo, wow, SEXY

My daughter loves her S4. You may want to test drive one for yourself. My son loves his M3 sedan, but he admitted that he also really likes my 335is convertible. You may also want to test a 335is while your making your decision. The exhaust sound on the 335is is actually better than the M3.

But i do not need reliability headaches and it in the shop all the time, and especially after warranty...and others say that German cars are all about that, un-reliable 'cause the electrical stuff is always failing, and i won't have that with the Lexus IS-F.
And that now, the 2011 IS-f is every bit as fast & fun to drive as the M3. But I like the BMW i have now...and am not sure if it is just forum bias?

I agree. The fact that everyone is "hot" online makes the forums that much more pleasant! I must admit I was hoping bimmerbabe69 had more of a penchant for pho than corned beef and cabbage. Oh well. I was at Las Vegas two weeks ago and toured most of the major casinos (my first time in Vegas as I'm not into gambling that much). I didn't find many of the female dealers being hot at all. Most (in all sections of the casino) were actually non descript in their looks. The drink girls were the hot ones, IMO.
