Mein Auto: 2011 528i M-Sport
528 MSport Vs 535 or 535 MSport Vs 550 or 550 MSport Vs M5

I have a 528 Msport and it takes off like a rocket when in sport mode, so it got me thinking if it will at least keep up and maybe even beat a regular 535 on track or even on initial take off. I am well aware of the 60HP difference and difference in torque, so I am not really expecting a 528 to beat a 535. What do you think of the other comparisons above.

What you experienced is just more responsive throttle response. There's no way it can keep up with 535i.

I drove both extensively before getting my 535i. The power/tq difference is too huge to negate the weight difference.

Sitting in LA traffic they all go about the same speed. A 528i is more than enough power for the majority of owners. The M5 is for speed merchants. The 535i probably represents the best balance, and 550i is blisteringly fast without being as insane as the M5.

Wishful thinking.

I find torque is key to carving through traffic. The ability to quickly punch it into diagonal open spaces and then back.

So I don't agree that they are the same in traffic.
