Yup. Super low key, easy deal. About an hour-fifteen from arrival to departure.

Gotta wash, buff (as needed) and zaino the car when I get a chance... hopefully tomorrow. I told them not to wash it.


Michelin Latitudes too! No floor mats though. (Which is fine, I have a set of rubber mats which we prefer.)

Any questions, fire away- but my guess is there are no surprises left.

Interesting...I had an order placed with him and I ended up canceling it. He was a little too "car salesmanish" for me..what should I expect though; I should have down my research on the front end rather than expecting him to be forthcoming.

No floor mats, really? I thought all X5s came with them standard as of 10/1.

I literally spent 10 minutes coming to terms...5 minutes speaking with him when we signed the deal, and 15 or so emails. I asked no questions about the car, the packages, etc. He definitely doesn't know the X5 like we do here in this forum.

Car should have had mats- it had the velcro anchors. Just wasn't in the car when I got it, but we noted it.

My dealer told me my 35d has arrived, yeah! I am in Seattle.

Does anybody know whether BMW will have holiday credit like before?

Firm date of delivery at PCD is Nov. 3rd.... car has been there since Sept 29. .. Does any one else have a PCD delivery date? ........It is worth the wait..

Friday Nov. 4th. It's the only option we were given. Luckily it works out well in our schedule. 2 1/2 weeks seems like an eternity right now. Very much looking forward to it!

It reads like much more of a saga then it was.... Believe it or not I was really not too twisted up about it. (Although if BMWNA is reading this, they'd disagree. )

Anyway, spent this afternoon/evening detailing it (insisted they not do anything in terms of wash/detail)...so wash, strip, polish (menzerna SIP and MicroPolsh for a few fine scratches).... have I mentioned BMW paint really sucks?... then 3 coats of Zaino. Aerospace 303 on the black bits... set up phones, sirius.

Funny my wife was saying she is afraid to drive it, it's all so perfect. I told her to keep it on the pavement, she'd be fine.

Glad to hear PCDs are getting scheduled- you are lucky if you can do it midweek, weekends are prolly booked for a LONG time. Surpirsed no other dealer deliveries are happening...

I'm really trying to take delivery, but my dealer for some reason can't tell me the status of my vehicle. Build was completed on 10/3 and I'm assuming it's on a truck somewhere, but that's all I get from the dealer. Doesn't DealerSpeed.net give the dealer more specific information than "Ummm....yeah...that vehicle is prolly somewhere on a truck and it'll prolly arrive within the next week or so"? Because that's really all I'm getting from my dealer and it's starting to get old.

Dealers are lying. Or the salesreps are too lazy to bother looking further (I suppose the low level reps may be prevented from seeing all the info? Dunno)

But dealerspeed shows that the car was released by BMWNA to Waggoners Trucking, with a date of release and an estimated arrival. Dealer CAN call waggoners and check on actual arrival times... Once the car is release by BMWNA to a trucking company it is DEALER PROPERTY (!!) and the dealer has FULL access to all info on that car- who has it, what trailer, where it is, how many kids the driver has (ok, ok, got carried away...) But they can find the status of their property.

There is ONE area where there can be a bit of 'invisibility'... BMW releases it to trucking, but waggoners doesn't yet manifest it to a truck.... they tend to 'batch' cars to one dealer or tight georaphic area. (They do not like dropping one here, one there, to 7 different dealers...) So you can have a few days while they accumulate and decide which are headed out. This seems to be more of an issue out of Spartanburg VPC for eastern cars. (Historically speaking)

What really annoys me is this: My explanation makes sense (I think it is correct) and is a much easier to understand and accept answer than "prolly on a truck somewhere and should take a few weeks"...

My dealer just confirmed that the system still tells them the vehicle will be delivered on Oct 22 but they don't have a bill of lading. I'm not really expecting anything untiil mid next week really.

Did your dealer have a bill of lading or just information like "it's on the truck"?

He just called and said it will be ready to be delivered tomorrow @2pm. Finance guy called about 20 minutes before him asking to match the rate my credit union offered me.

Would you mind sharing the interest rate your credit union offered and that was matched by BMW?

BMW isn't matching it... Chase is matching it through the dealer. 2.45%

Is a sitar day delivery possible and how can my dealer find out exactly when the car is at his place by maybe calling the carrier?

Hooray -- mine has arrived at the dealer, although I'm not picking it up until saturday (sitar day? I assume that's a spell check thing ). We know who was first to accept delivery, who will be first to post pics?

Oh, I forgot to mention -- in addition to all the other incentives that have been discussed previously, BMW FS is offering me a free one day Car Control Course at Spartanburg, along with two nights at the Greenville Marriott. I've been to one of these before, but its so much fun, I'll definitely do it again, especially for free!

My dealer told me when it arrives before noon he can have it ready in the afternoon.

Sounds a bit of a waiting time....

My dealer called me around noon and we set up an appointment for 6:00 this evening for delivery.
