Yes, color is Platinum Bronze. Really liked the Deep Sea, but one dark car is enough for me...

(Picture is post detail, Zaino Z5, Z2, Z2...plus some Menzerna polishes.)

There were three paint defects, besides the horrific orange peel. One most people would be able to find (defect in the color coat, clearcoat over it is perfect), the other two are quite small 'fisheyes' in the clear coat. I buffed them and they are virtually impossible to find.

Wife said "Its just a car"...who IS this person living in my house?

Ok, picked mine up this evening.... pix will follow tomorrow during the day!

The 20" performance tires are now Dunlop sport maxx which is better i guess.
No floor mats at all! Not available at the 2012 Diesel - but dealer is shipping me some - its a combi between rubber and vinyl!
Its just one type available on the new models - no separate rubber mats any more .....

Just notice a ding in the shadow trim and one tail light had water in it.
Will get it fixed next week - BMW is replacing whole parts which is good.

Then wait until tomorrow... will release some pix in the afternoon.

Ours came with the Carpeted floor mats... The ones we have are the good ones. Dealer was also good enough to put wheel lock lugs on without my requesting it.. at no charge.

Hey,

could you make a picture from your floor mats, not that my dealer is trying to BS me.
He told me that no 2012 comes with floor mats and that there are just one type available!

I like more carpet ones and for the winter a extra set of rubber ones.
Can you confirm that there is no just one option available from BMW?

Well, I just got back from picking it up, and let me tell you, I'm tickled pink. The nappa leather interior (which includes the top of the dash and the doors), is really nice, and the Adaptive Drive rocks! Just from the little bit of driving I did on the way home, I can tell that the body roll/lean is all but eliminated.

One thing I didn't know is that the rails in the back have been eliminated. There are still four tie down eyelets, but the rail system is gone. While I never used it in the two years I had my 2010, I always thought about getting the attachments for securing cargo (I use my X5 to haul photo gear in connection with my photography business). More cost savings, I guess.

Just did a search on cars.com and there are LOTS of 2012 x5d SUVs available at some of the larger dealers. Mine was supposed to arrive today but no such luck.
