It's great to see all you guys are getting your new diesels, but I gotta admit I'm getting pretty jealous. I had a week 40 build; car was finished on 10/9. Still no word on when I will get it. Dealer has called me three times over the last few weeks to tell me it would be in in two days. First time I knew he was wrong, because I knew about the CARB delay. Second time I was excited, but skeptical. Third time, Car was supposed to show up this Saturday. No luck. Not today either, apparently. WTF?? Getting pretty frustrated at this point.

Hey all! I just came across this forum, I have usually been using X Outpost. I am in Dallas and got the truck at BMW Dallas.

Anyway, I very excited to receive delivery of my X5d! It came on the truck on Thursday. I was out of town for the weekend so I wasn't able to immediately pick it up.

It is the BMW hitch. I am not sure/can't remember how much it cost, as I made sure that it was part of the deal when I first ordered it.

It came in on the truck on Thursday. BMW Dallas ordered the parts to be here in time for my X5 to arrive. They installed it right away and had it ready for me. The only issue is that the 2012 is so new that BMW Dallas hasn't received the coding update for it yet. They expect to have the code in 5 days or so, so I will take it in to have that done.

I've got the hitch ordered from my dealer as well. There was an availability issue for a while...

I'm ordered mine w/ hitch to be installed by the port (at Oxnard). That was a few hundred dollars cheaper than having my dealer do the hitch install. That being said, I'm anxiously waiting for my vehicle to arrive. It was supposedly delivered to Oxnard on 10/18 and is still sitting there.

Just took delivery of my X5d tonight. For everyone else that got theirs, did it come with the iPhone cable? I figured it would be in the glove or center console but it's not.

After looking at other threads, looks like I can use a normal iPhone USB cable.

Nice... The Oyster is more beige/tan than I imagined - like a cream color. On the BMWUSA website it looks more grey. How would you describe it?

What color is your exterior?
