550i 2008 Tires for 20x9 and 20x10.5

Just bought Vossen wheels CV2 20 x 9 front and 20 x 10.5 rear. Rear tire they say should be 285-25-20 Hard to find and seems to be a odd size. Anybody have thoughts or experince with this set up? 2008 550i. http://www.vossenwheels.com/wheels/VVSCV2.aspx[/IMG]

I'm running 285 x 25 x 20's at the back on my 535. They are the Falken 452's. Not bad but not great. They are noisy. The fronts are 245 x 30 x 20's.

Just make sure you run 40lbs of air in the tires. There's not much sidewall so it's easy to bend a rim if you hit a pothole.

How about 285-30-20 in rear. Anybody know if they will rub. Going to run 255-30-20 in front

Do you have a pic of your set up? I just want more sidewall on rears. Plus they are much cheaper tires

I think a 275 x 30 x 20 would be about the same dia. as the stock tire.

They say 285 is needed for 10.5 wide rim. Stock is 10 inch

How wide are your rims? front and rear. Im going to try 255-30 front and 285-30 rear. Hope they dont rub! I like your set up!

It's hard to say what size they are exactly. It looks like the front is 9 and the rear is 10 but they could be 9.5 and 10.5.
Make damn sure you get a proper alignment after the install. My back tires are shot cause the alignment was out of wack. I don't like the Falken 452's so I'll probably buy a set of Pirelli P-zero Nero. They aren't cheap and there aren't many choices when you have to run a certain size 20 front and rear. I wonder if I could use a 255 x 30 front and a 285 x 30 rear? The roads around here are terrible and it's easy to mess up a rim with these low profile tires. I wish I had 19's. Isn't the diameter to much? I think you have to be careful when you install over size tires on these cars. Something to do with Traction Control? I have to find out.

Vossen 9.5 front and 10.5 rear. 255-30-20 front and 285-30-20 rear went with Hankook V12 evo. No rubbing smooth as silk...... Pic to come

I think I'm going to go with 245/35's up front and 285/30 out back.
Might not look that horny but I need tires with more sidewall.
Hate fixing my wheels all the time. One of my rears was cracked, bent and out of round.
I think I bought the car with them already messed up.
