Dual quads on wife's 535i...plus pics!

I'm very pleased with the look (double rolled, slant cut, black chrome dual tips). We also went with a carbon fiber rear valance, don't recall which vendor at the moment, but 5seriesHB recommended them. I ended up having it painted gloss black because I think it complements all the other black accents. Oh, and stock exhaust back on, no more Magnaflow (which is for sale btw).

Very well done! Good call on applying clear to the CF. The black chrome tips with the CF diffuser is unique and mean, yet classy.

Thanks, we're definitely loving the new look! Only one mod on her's to go and that's a mild drop with some Eibachs!

I've been using Eibach for years in previous rides and always had great results. I never knew much about ACS but was pleased to hear that they were also produced or related to Eibach. As for H&R, I can't remember the exact complaint I heard; it might have been that the ride was a little spongy compared to Eibach. Either way, it's pretty much just me being biased toward a product that I know. If I had the money, I'd drop $4k on KWs!

AW with quad tips... now that does look good. Real good. Not to mention the spoiler!

When I first saw the title of the thread (dual quads), I thought maybe you found a way of sticking a couple of Holly Dominator 4 barrel carbs on the car. Now that would have been interesting. Guess I am showing my age and love of drag racing.

Hahaha, that's how I always interpreted the term "dual quads" too! But when I came to Bimmerfest, people used it in reference to exhaust! Lol

So did the stock exhaust have to be modified in regards to placement so that it lined up with the new valance? Would love to know the manufacturer of the CF valance as well. By the way, she looks killer! Nice mod.

Nope, no mods to the stock exhaust other than trimming the inlet/outlet to fit sit relatively flush. I'll look up where I got the valance and let you know. Thanks!

But for some reason, mine has these small vents in horizontal lines going across the bottom center. I happen to like it better than the completely smooth one. Maybe I ordered the Hamann style on accident?

This looks awesome. Picked up my 535 about two weeks ago, and will definitely be doing this.

Can I ask, do you have just quad tips on the stock exhaust? If so, can I ask where you go them from?

The part number for the OME 550 diffuser (not the carbon fiber one) is 51127906248.

I was getting ready to start getting my parts for the Quad tips; however, I just noticed that my rear valence for my non M-Sport bumper is fixed . I guess I would have to cut it (which may look ghetto), or buy a whole new 550i bumper or M-Sport bumper. Sigh...

Will these fit nicely on a 550 with the OEM diffuser? I want them to appear snug, not like an aftermarket add-on.

Yes. The diffusers you see are 550i ones, and most have said that they do fit snug. Of course it all depends on the work your muffler shop performs.

My valance was from JL motoring and it's a Hamann style carbon fiber; definitely different from the stock 550.

Sorry for the ignorance but is valance that same thing as the diffuser?
