535i Auto start/stop feature

I have a 535 with M package, does anyone use the auto start/stop feature? does it really save gas? I'm afraid I will end up spending more money repairing starter than save gas, what do think. M package for $3000 is a bargain, whoever consider a 535i should have it.

I'd do a search on this forum about the benefits of using that system, it has been discussed multiple times, it seems to come down more to a personal preference for the driver, if you don't mind the car "shutting off" at stoplights, and some people swear by it for increased mileage (I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head), V/r, Tim.
