seems cheap.... you should see if it is a trade-assist. That wouldn't show up on a carfax or auto check.

decided to focus on the 535's...the 335d we just didn't think it was big enough for a new/young family.
Just got done reading some posts on trade assist. I don't think it is...I have the service record/davis/DCS report and it only has the "normal" 54 programming that every 535 seems to have and normal maintenance stuff (i.e. oil change). I'm going to ask though...thanks for the heads up. Are they required to disclose if it was a trade assist?? The said it has been on their lot too long and were getting ready to wholesale it, hence the low price, not that I necessary believe much of anything that comes out of a salesman's mouth (nothing personal with this one). |

well, that makes a huge difference. I'd be all over it if it actually was a 2011. For a 2010... whole different story.

Still seems like a pretty good deal. It's optioned out pretty well and low miles with CPO.

2010 is a bad year as it is the last before the F10 was introduced.
Go for an 08-09 and you will save $10k. Car will be virtually same. Cars.com has this: 2009 BMW 535 i - $31,950 Dealer: Wholesale Direct Auto Sales, Phoenix, AZ http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national As an example. It is Sport and has Nav and all the premium trimmings, only 27k miles. You will not notice any difference. no need to pay 40k. Buyer's market these days. |

Opinions will vary on 2010 vs 2009 or 2008. 2010 had an improved I-Drive (huge difference from 2006) and the last E60 which could be argued the best knowing BMW improves things along the way.
I just traded my 2010 535I with Sport Package, Sport Transmission, Premium, Navigation, Satellite, Cold Weather and anthracite roof liner with 44K miles; dealer certified it (they had to put run flats back on it) and are asking $41,995, so your price seems good unless it is a ****back, then all bets are off. If a buy back, you will be challenged selling in the future. Folks that do best on buy backs plan to run them forever.

I just bought a 2010 and love it. For me the upgraded iDrive is huge. The interface is so much faster and the upgraded NAV just looks cool.
That seems like a pretty good price for a CPO. Could you find cheaper? Probably, but does it have the options you want and is in a color combo you want? If so I wouldn't think too much on it. You will love it! People will always tell you there is a better deal, but at the end of the day, you have to go with what is available, and how much of a hassle is it to locate one halfway across the country?

In my opinion there is nothing bad about the 2010 535s. They are the last year of the body style so most of the bugs should have been worked out. The 2010s have an upgraded I-drive with a hard drive based Nav and better screen. Also, the M-sports package available on both the 2009s and 2010s 535 i/xi.

2010 E60 is a bad year as a financial investment since the car will be up against the new F10 and presumably be more expensive than 08-09s. Nothing wrong witht the car itself, but from resale standpoint down the road it competes with the 2011 F10. I think that makes the 2010 depreciate more.
That's the context. |

Then it would be a good choice.
I got my 2008 loaded 535 sport for $26k from BMW in Orlando. Spent a few thousand on M-tech body kit, performance tires and tuning. Plan to drive it a looong time, then sell it when it starts to become maintenance intensive. |

60,000 miles, so no warranty. Came off lease and looked/performed nearly new. Had been driven by a doctor for daily commutes on Orlando highways.
Totally loaded with Nav, PDC, Logic 7, heated and ventilated seats, HUD, Sports version w comfort seats, paddles, Lane Change warning, active stability. Over $70k new. No issues so far. I added JB4 chip and spacers, M-tech. Upgrading the audio w new amps and speakers, doing built in Escort radar detector. |

I purposely waited until the 11th hour before buying my 2010 because I knew I could get a deal . . . which ended up being $11,000 off sticker price . . . mind you, a sticker price that was already at a discount of near $3,000 because the automatic transmission, leather, and iPod adapter all came at no charge vs. previous years where these would be extra cost options. Add the $1,000 rebate from BMWCCA and I ended up getting a $60,000 car for $45,000. Thus, I think any extra "depreciation" is accounted for up front, though I really don't care because I purchased it straight away and plan to keep it at least 10 years. By getting the 2010 model with Navigation, I got the next generation iDrive, gave BMW 7 years to work out all the bugs, including whatever the latest iteration of N54 fixes were in play . . . and got a 10 year, 120,000 mile HPFP warranty without having to ask. The best part is I have conventional tires and not run flats. FYI: I'll be considering the same route Q1 2012 for my wife with the E90.
