Which one are you? Modern, Sport or Luxury?

The essential question seems to be whether we will be able to order the M-Sport package on top of any of the lines, or only on top of the Sport line. Anyone have a definitive answer?

I like the Modern interior treatment the best by far, but I would want the M-Sport package. I don't think I could live with the accent stripes.

Not a definitive answer, because the M sport package is not yet available (in the German market) -- but I believe that the M sport will be a separate package not available in combination with the three "line" packages. Essentially I think there will be four packages available; the car can be ordered without a package or with any one of the four.

I really like the F30, however trying to decide which line works best has been difficult. Photos suggest, Luxury-Sport and Modern Lines have high and low points which leads me to go with the M-Sport Line with it's sporty-aggressive-upscale look. However with that being said, I'll have to wait and see what interior combinations BMW has to offer before making the final choice.

It's finally time for another Welt trip next year and my timing is pretty good. Interested in the F30 packaging in the USA, as none of the "lines" has everything I want, and some have too much.

Sport + M

Sport for me. Definitely with the black trim strip on the dash instead of the red one, though. Still deciding on colors.

Yes, the BMW USA Press Release has the definitive answer. In the press release it states that in addition to a Standard model, the F30 will be available with a Sport Line, Luxury Line, Modern Line, or the M Sport Package.

Look it up.

I'm for whichever comes without the new electronic steering. Hope there will be a choice.

Otherwise, MODERN for me. I've had quite enough of the BMW sport suspension.

Can't wait to drive whichever F30 my dealer has next February. Let me guess: LUXURY!!!

hey guys I was loooking at the new trim levels again today and noticed something with the tachs i was hoping you guys could give me some insight into. if you look at the attached pic you see the sport, modern, and luxury trims(in that order). but i noticed that the modern trim seems to have a tach that ends at 6k while the other lines go up to 7k. any reason for this you guys can think of? thanks for your time again

Different engines. Notice how the center one redlines at about 5,500 whereas the outside ones redline at 7,000.

Wow, that is a good catch.

There's nothing I've read, nor anything intuitive, that would indicate different engine treatments according to trim level. The only theory I can come up with is that one of those cars has a different engine than the other two, is a euro-spec engine, or something like that.

I just checked the specs for the N20 - looks like it goes to 7000 RPM. No easily found stats for the N55, but I sure don't remember it redlining at 6000. 6000 seems a little high for a diesel, too.

Tough call. From the pics, I'm not sure at all. This is going to require some seat time to decide. Put me down as a big "I don't know." Yet.

320d sounds like a fun little car, the 325d sounds like a blast though. I never thought i would buy a diesel, but if BMW offered that here, i would seriously consider it.

bmw.. is slowly becoming an old guys car.... what happen when it was just about the driver and the performance. why cant i just buy lets say a 325 and drive it without messing with some setting to make it sportier. its dumb... i dont like that they have soo many options ... big issue with the M5 v10.. you got more buttons and settings, plus with an M button..its an m5, i dont want a button to make it an m5. retarded!..

Do you miss carburetors, manual chokes, and drum brakes too? We should probably go back to three-speed transmissions, less gears to shift.

This is a big fail.

Mercedes has a longstanding racing history. Mercedes was racing cars when BMW was still making airplane engines.

I have to say I completely disagree! As a proclaimed 'gadget freak' *AND* a sports/performance car enthusiast, I am THRILLED with what BMW has put together for the new F30. It may not have as much "steering feedback" as some of you want, etc, but to me it's a thing of beauty - beautiful blend of performance and luxury
