That is your fuse box. What kind of noise is it making? Is it a knocking noise by any chance?

I'm guessing You are hearing large air bubbles in the heater hose hitting 4 circler looking heater valve in front of that black fuse box making a bubbling ,gurgling, popping sound when running the engine. I think its related to earilyer lose hose at block.

Cindy

This is common when your relays/computers cause interference.

Open that plastic box get electrical parts cleaner and remove + clean and securely put back your relays and two larger catriges located above the fuses.

You could be hearing the auxillary water pump which sits below the heater valve. Disconnect the two wire connector just "north" of the jumping terminal in your photo.

That is the fuse box. It holds the fuses and some of the relays(electrical switches). You could be hearing a relay freaking out and going bad. Or there could be a short in the wiring going to one of the relays.
Just my $0.02
Good luck and hope you get'r figured out.

I had a screeching noise from my auxiliary water pump for a while but it went away on its own. It's in the same area as your pic. I imagine I will end up having to replace it eventually but it hasn't made that noise for about a year now.
