Question petecole1

Hi. I have a 525tds 1998 the engine has stoped on me a number of times and I have noticed that I have no electric what so ever, cannot even open door, any ideas please, many regards pete.

Thought i heard that by holding the Handel up and working the key to the unlock position its supposed to manually unlock the door. never tested it though. On your elect problem I would start at the battery 12.7 v min. Can you get into the trunk?.

Thanks luckydog but the big problem is there is no lights on dash board and no electrics anywhere in the car. any help please, attery is fully charged regards petecole1.

Check the fuseible link near the battery. There is also one in the engine compartment if I recall correctly. Check all grounding points. Make sure the battery cables are firmly in place.
