E82 / E87 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Errors- How to progress fixing these e87

My problem is that the transmission thumps.......the error messages are

[Car: 118i, E87, 02/2005. Australia (RHD)]

1.Selector Position Switch Fault
2. EGS Communication Fault
3. Transmission DATA Connector leaking
4. ECCentric Shaft Fault

Is there a relationship between ECCentric shaft and Transmission(Auto).

What needs to be done to fix this transmission issue.....or

Do I need to fix the VANOS which may be causing the trans there a relationship between this.

Would be heaps useful to know this and resolve at a resonable cost....

What comes first

Suggestions any ideas on cost of repairs from your experience.
