Not sure about the 550 but my 535 F10 had less than optimal gearing for 0-60 sprints. It reached redline at about 55 mph in 2nd gear requiring two shifts to reach 60. My guess is that the M5 does as well but with the DCT the loss is less.

My testing:

0-60 3.8s, 1/4mi 12.5s@112 550xi S2

So the M5 pretty much has me beat. That said, I'm not sure how easy and timely the launch control works on the F10 M5, but the E60 M5 required practice and poor timing often was the cause of embarassment at the track.
Do you think the Dinan 550 also beats the Panamera Turbo? I know it beats the 4S and probably the GTS.
