Successfully coded my E70

Thanks for the help on the cables. I quickly purchased a cheap one last night and if it does not work then I will get the better quality ones. Now on to finding the correct files, looks like the daten files are going to be difficult to find...

Let me know if you find a daten file! I searched for hours 3-4 months ago, and could only partially download them. I wonder where coders get all the daten files? Thanks!

If you guys give me until tomorrow, I'll PM you where you can download them . I only have V.44 though, so if you need newer, you are out of luck. Its over 3GB compressed and over 8 GB uncompressed, so I can't share it too much. I don't have the transfer cap or the bandwidth

Great BD! Would I need a certain version? I just imported a 2012 BMW X5 built 06/12 from the states.

I would love to get a copy if you can spare the bandwith. ...although I've been coding with the daten files that came packaged in the software and it's been working fine, so maybe I shouldn't update?

My X5 is really based ,so what options I can get with coding?

Does coding affect the OEM warranty?

At least in Costa Rica.. No... and should be that way, anyway I dont find a way that you can damage something with coding, in other words you can undo whatever you make on your car.

Hard to say, but that is what we, in our cars, are trying to find out, this is a test/error procedure, the only way to be sure is to do it and test it, save your TRC files before you change anything so you can go back no matter what you do.

So the trunk will not go down from the remote or the button inside unless this is done, I am not very mechanical, can this flash be done by the dealer? I also like how the mirrors fold in when you lock it.

Correct, it will not go down with the remote or the button on the inside until it is coded. The dealer will not do this for you.

Exchanging the attached file C:\EDIABAS\Bin EDIABAS.INI

All is working with INPA and NCS and I coded the BC_DIGITAL speed thing. In the E70 its in KOMBI. Does anyone know if its normal for the time, date and mileage (not odometer) to be reset after coding to KOMBI? Did I do something wrong?

Also, does the MAN file only need to include the changes you want to make to the module, CAS, KOMBI or so you have to include all settings from the TRC? Coding is fun and I've only done ONE, soooo many to do.

Yes if you code KOMBI then all the values in the cluster would reset except the odometer mileage.
