Can't get brake pad sensor warning light to turn off

I replaced the pads and rotors on my wife's 07 328 this past weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that once the brake pad warning light comes on, you have to replace the sensors. Not wanting to delay the brake job waiting for new sensors to arrive, I went ahead and did the brake job, and cut the sensor wires and tied them together, which should simulate the effect of having new sensors (I'll order new ones asap). But I can't get the brake pad sensor dash warning light to go off. I've tried all the methods described on other forums, but none of them have worked. Any ideas? Thanks.

Your going to need to replace the sensor. By doing what you did, it in effect shows the system that the sensors are totally ground down, and will continue to illuminate the warning lamp until new sensors are installed, and then reset through the cluster.
