2002 Mini Cooper Engine Electrical fire

Got a severe electrical fire in my 02 Mini Cooper. On getting the wiring replaced from an old one of a friend, a wire with Green/Red coloring was found not connected initially. Also there is a harness with a small two pin plug that is located with the second ECU Harness that's close to the engine bulkhead. Can someone please advice on what those cables are supposed to do or connected to? Looking forward to your candid opinion.
