I don't understand the rear shot. What is different? The angel eyes look great. LED I assume? Did you DIY or were they sent out?

I bought a scanner on ebay that would allow me to enable to clown nose when I lock the doors but the software that came with the scanner does a lot more. One of the options disables the car from checking the LAMPS when you start the car.... so If a bulbs stops working right now, it won't shows on the dash - but that gave me the chance to change my angel light bulds for LEDS.

The rear lights don't look like that unless you configure the "brake" lights to be use as normal lights or running lights at night... they get brighter if you apply the brake pedal and the central brake light would come on as well when braking.

Here is a snap pic of the made this possible.

Home made by the way - Different LED colors, but didn't go this route because I think that might be very illegal.

Enjoy.... OR

The last pic is my current set up and that's how I'm driving.

Oh I see. I would not go for the extra light in back as IMO it is superior to have a dedicated brake light vs a "double use" light which only gets brighter when brakes are applied. You already have the very cool looking LED strip across the top of the rear lights. I suppose it does give you more of an aggressive look. What I want is LED brake and turn signal lights in back. Can't seem to find any bulbs which would be bright enough though.

I looks like a Halloween pumpkin in my opinion... it looks different, but I can turn them off in less than 5 mins if I plug the laptop to the car.... so I'm just having fun and listening what people think.... so I thank you for your comment.

Now, LED brake and turn signals ummmm I want them too, but I changed the brake bulb for LEDs once on a toyota 4runner and the LED wasn't as bright... it flashed faster when you apply the brake.... but it wan't what I wanted. I think you need to play with voltage and a lot more beefy LEDs. The turn signals will start flashing faster if you change them for LEDs so that requires more work as well.... you can def... change them and make them work nicely if you spend a lil $$ and time.

This stuff looks like something I'd expect to see on a '90's Honda Civic driven by David Hasselhoff. Or parked at some ricer car show with 47 bowling trophies positioned next to it, while some sketchy hungover chick in a bikini poses for pictures with it.

Start here..... http://www.bmw-scanner.com/?page=bmw..._v140&lang=eng

I think this is the company that put it together but a Chiniz dude made it possible for me for le$$.

If this company would come up with an updated version for around $200.... I would buy it from them, but $650?? ummmm

Your choice mister!

I thought the upgraded angel eyes lite up both rings not just the one.

I take it from the pictures you could not get both rings to light up at the same time?

Happy Motoring.

I seem to remember Ron saying that only one set of rings actually have bulbs in them. Seems like the other set obtains any light they may emit from the actual headlight when it's turned on. Might check the "stickys" here for more info on that.

I happen to really like what you've done with the selective lighting on the front of your car. I might make my rings a little whiter vs bluer, but that's individual preference. I agree that the price at the link you've posted is too much cost, especially if you've figured out how to get it less expensively. Any way you can lead us to the less expensive solution?

Do you know if the software will work with other BMW platforms as well?

Someone did the twin angel eye upgrade, I saw it on a car at home coming. Bad to the bone to see both rings lite up.

All the OP did was make his car able to accept an LED angel eye bulb for the inner angel eye without setting off a bulb-out code in the cluster. This is not the tecarbon custom rebuild with dual angel eye rings.

You might want to check the Brigadier General's post http://www.zpost.com/forums/showpost...46&postcount=2

He sent his head light some where to get dual angel eyes on each side.

I actually found out about P.A BMW-scanner until I received the box from China. I did a search on ebay for bmw scanners and found mine and for $32. I really didn't care if it worked or not BUT it does ... but you guys might be able to get away with it for less than $32, If you buy a OBD II adapter with the USB connection. Then I can "share" my copy.

What other BMW model/year are you trying to mess around with?

LMK.

Is your angel eyes are LED bulb in Z4? I want to change angel eyes with white color but I couldn't find that. I only saw too many bulbs for the M3 or NEW 3 series so could you advice me how can I get same as your color?

His lights were custom made by Tekarbon. You take yours out and mail them to Tekarbon for the conversion.
