98 E36 M52 328iS

Diagnosing on drivers side front window. you push n let go on window button , window goes down . doing the same for up , but window stops n goes down half of an inch down. push button again n window goes up n stops.not sure if its the micro switch or the motor/ gear box. any thoughts?

Mine was doing that when the regulator was bindine and causing too much presure on it, so the car stoped the window rather than break itself (at least thats why i think it did that) but my car is a sedan so it might be different than your coupe
