Jl audio custom box

I just found out jl audio made a custom box for our cars

looks awesome, I have an old JL W3 15" that I am going to get hooked up soon

That is sick. I don't know if I have the thirst for bass like I used to for the 1200 coin.

It comes with the subs to

man, Id be down to make that enclosure for a third of that cost!! holler! haha.

I saw these on ebay a while ago, and yes I have to agree with you guys on the way it looks....

I envisioned a similar design but with one 12". Is this two 10's? Is that a port where the JL logo is out back? How much?

yo thats the box customs sounds in san antonio said they will make,they'll make the specifcations for 1 12W7 cuz supposedly the premade 1 from jl canot handle w7.....does that sound true?.............im fixin to pay $$$3000 for 2 JL amps(1000/1&4channel for highs)1JLw7 Front&rear HERTZ components5.25 ,1 kinetic power cell ,a custom enclousure for the w7...parts &labor Sounds like a good deal?

i currently in process of building a custom box with JL audio sub.

The base looks rather deep and the spakers weigh a lot. Also the height, I'm betting it can't tip over

Agree... In this car and at my age, one 10 would be enough and a vast improvement over stock. Hell, when I have gotten loaner 3's and 5's they have better low end!

you guys seem to know a whole lot about systems. Alot more than me for sure. i have never upgraded my sound system primarily because i've never had my speakers or amps ever go out. i am going to soon upgrade my system and need your suggestions on what size and amount subs to put.

1) 2 x 6 inch subs underneath the front seats and 1 x 12 inch sub or 2 x 12inch subs in the truck
2) 2 x 6 inch subs underneath the front seats and 1 x 10 inch sub or 2 x 10 inch subs in the trunk.
3) 1 x 10 inch sub or 2 x 10 inch subs in the trunk only
4) 1 x 12 inch sub or 2 x 12 inch subs in the trunk only.

the place i am getting them done from recommends that i put 2 x 12 inch subs in the trunk only. i love music but also am not the type of guy who likes to get heard from a block away in a neighborhood. only time i play lound music is when i'm alone and driving on the highway. my personal choice would be 2 x 6 inch subs underneath the front seats and one 12inch or 10inch sub in the trunk. reason wanting the subs underneath the seat is because i don't want bass only coming from the trunk. i enjoyed the logic 7 system WHEN it would work and the feeling of bass all around the vehicle.

what do you guys suggest?

2 12's is good if you need to be heard 5 blocks away, I think the best thing to do in these cars is to get that harness technic has upgrade the 2 subs under the fr seats to earthquakes with an aftermarket amp and be done. I had my amp replaced under wrrty and my stereo sounds great. I did consider adding the harness and a single 10 or 12 but havent yet.

Tell me more about technic harness and how much space is under seats? With as little low ends as we get now, those subs must be as flimsy and thick as paper plates!
