F10 or F15

If it were available, I would purchase an F11. In it's absence, I am deciding between and F10 and F15. I recognize that these are very different vehicles, but, I am left with little choice but to make a compromise. When I price comparable vehicles, including what I consider the essential options and packages, I am shocked at how relatively inexpensive the F15 is compared to the 535i x-drive. My configured luxury line F15 with HK, rear camera, space saving tire, and comfort seats is 61,500. The similarly configured Luxury line F10 is 4,000 more. (Note I had to add the cold weather package to the F10 since heated seats are standard, as they appear to be on the F15). I also played around with a similarly configure F31, and that was around 6,000 less than the F15. That price difference seems really small.

Then again, the F16 has a better rate of climb.

If you care about how center of gravity affects handling then get the F10. Otherwise the F15.

If you need the space, go with F15. F10, despite being a large sedan, is not very specious inside.

IMO it depends on the utility factor. If you want style and more sportiness, the F10 would be the better choice, and if you need more cargo/utility, etc. space, then obviously the SUV. I recently sat in the F15 and found its exterior decent enough (I'm not an SUV fan), however it was the interior that rivaled the F10 the closest to me. In some ways I preferred it to the F10 interior, and in some ways I found it a little less elegant/"mature". I do think it is one of the best, if not the best interiors you'll find in an SUV, save for perhaps the new Rover.

If you are buying the pricing on the 2 may be comparable, but F15 leases approximating anything available on an f10 are hard to come by...for example, my f10 is msrp 84600, lease payment slightly north of 900...friend just got f15 from same dealer...also north of 900 a little but msrp only a little over 70k...pricey leasing for the new model.
