Very good information. Thank you for posting this. I see that the Sport trim has lowered (10mm) suspension.

It's nice that the Dynamic Driving Control is std (adjustable suspension settings). Also, the cold weather package now includes heated rear seats. I had this on an Audi 9 years ago.

Thanks for cleaning up the source document and posting the info.. However one item was omitted and has me somewhat confused. Selecting the Luxury and Modern Lines requires selecting the Premium Package. If one orders the 335i, many of it's standard features are also included in the Premium Package. This seems redundant and diminishes the incentive to select one of the "Lines." Any thoughts?

My guess is that the prices will be reflective of the fact that those features are already included. Based on the information we have, I suspect the pricing model might be more complex than it has been in the past. Obviously BMW isn't going to make customer pay for the same thing twice. We will keep digging and see what else we can find out.

Fun fact that I just noticed is that the Technology Package includes an larger screen display....goes up to a 8.8" screen from the standard 6.5" screen. I guess they had to do something to rationalize the yet to be released cost of the Technology Package....

If you look at the originally released international specs, the 6.5" screen is standard on all models and then they offer an "Navigation Business" with the 6.5" screen and reduced features or the "Navigation Professional" with a 8.8" screen and more features (3D mapping, real-time traffic, etc).

So... it would appear that BMW USA has chosen to only offer the Professional version for the US market. Fine by me, because I was already planning to order the Professional version anyway and this keeps me from having to feel guilty about spending more

This would be consistent with past practice in the USA.

While Dynamic Driving Control is std, this is just the control for aggressiveness of transmission & throttle response.

There is no adjustable suspension unless you spring for Adaptive M Suspension (2VF). I guess it's not too surprising that US only gets the higher end Adaptive M Suspension and no option for the passive M-Sport suspension as well since same is true for the F10.

BTW, does anyone have details for: Variable Sport Steering (2VL)

The way I read it, the (passive, regular) sport suspension IS standard on the sport line. The adaptive M suspension will be optional on the sport line, I think. Hopefully the M sport will come with the regular M sport suspension (704.)

M Sport suspension lowered by ten millimetres with stiffer spring and damper settings as well as harder stabilisers.

I wonder how it will defer from version in the sport line.

Variable Sport Steering should be a must have for enthusiasts.

Where's the comfort access as a stand-alone? Looks like the sport package is also saddled with 18 inch rims (3 BMWs with 18s... no desire to ever get 18s again). Wow, so much for personalization.

Hope this is wrong or misleading.

I am thinking we might not be seeing all the details here. They are listing out packages and I would assume that some of the features in the packages would be available as a stand alone option. For example, the 528i allows you to choose these options stand alone...

Sport automatic transmission with shift paddles
Navigation system
Parking Assistant
Ceramic Controls
Head-up Display
Integral Active Steering
Split fold-down-rear seat
Ski bag
Multi-contour seats
Heated front seats
Active Cruise Control
Comfort Access keyless entry
Power rear sunshade with rear manual side window shades
Rear-seat entertainment
BMW Apps
Satellite radio with 1 year subscription
Park Distance Control
Rear-view camera
Night Vision with Pedestrian Detection
Side and Top View Cameras

I think once all the ordering details come out we'll see a similar offering of stand alone options....at least I hope.

And hopefully, if they include Sports Seats and Anthracite Headliner, let the games begin...

Big surprise to me was the 18 inch wheels standard across the product line? Is this some sort of mistake??? The current 328 has 16 inch wheels standard. This has me thinking that some of this information may be inaccurate.

If you get any of the equipment lines it looks like that is the case. It does say in the standard features that the 328i comes with 17s and the 335i with 18s. So there is a chance to still get 17s for sure.

I found the German pricing sheet and summarized the original post here with those prices added where I could find them.
Note that Euro pricing includes 19% VAT.
I computed US$ pricing by subtracting this and adding 37% for exchange rate.
In case of packages or groups of items, I included a simple rolled up total.

-- It will be interesting to see what the actual US pricing is along with all the option options available.

You get 18" if you get one of the Lines or M Sport.

Otherwise 17" is standard.

Yes, the dates are for 2012.

It would have been awesome to have the HUD standard but I am sure it is going to be a $900 - $1300 option

I just wish BMW would hurry up and release the full ordering details including pricing so we could know what is possible!

HUD does not make sense without NAV, however, NAV without HUD does. Not sure why they are bundling them. That is an extra $grand per car.

I did not get HUD on my 535 as the dash has a repeat of the Nav in a large disply below the gauges. So HUD seemed redundant. Might be cool in a 3 series though.

HUD without Nav would be great for me...I am getting a manual, so a tack and speedo on window would have been cool, but not wasting money on the nav.
