Need Price Advice: 2012 X5 Premium
Dealer offered $54,750 for 2012 X5 Premium with Convenience and Cold Weather Packages, running boards, satellite radio, and apps. Price includes navigation and mission to drive credits, and destination.
BMWConfig tells me this is about $800-900 over invoice. Manager came by and told me they don't care about end-of-the-month and was not willing to move any further. Thoughts? |

That sounds like $10k below sticker. Is this a dealer in NJ or NY?

Dealer is NJ. MSRP was $61k.

We only ordered convenience, step bars, apps and soft close doors, our MSRP was $62k, I guess i didn't take mission to drive into consideration, and navi incentive is about $1700, so it sounds like OK to go with. No matter what we did, even when we were getting two vehicles at the same time, the dealer did not budge much. So $54,750 is reasonable, keep in mind there are always other dealers, and think about if you really want the BMW apps, because you will have to purchase the over priced iPhone media cradle which runs for about $260. Do you really need it? Sure it is good to have in case you ever get to use it in the future, or if they upgrade it, but still, just letting you know.

My dealer (in NY) can give you a deal at invoice price or below. He is located an hour away from Central NJ. PM me if you are interested.

Haris, is that right? We were duped, then. Another person jibbed by the dealer, forced to purchase media cradle.
Are you referring to the USB cable that comes with iPhone? Will iPod also work with it?

Media cradle gives you additional functionality such as video playback and improved reception.

Ahh, I see, maybe he did a play on words, slipped in "video playback" when he mentioned the requirement of Apps+Cradle. That's OK. Sorry to pull the topic off-course.

$750 over invoice is reasonable...that "800-900" seems like $600 plus MACO, no? Good deal.

UPDATE: Another dealer offered $53,500 with the exact same specs, but in either white/cinnamon or white/beige. He said this was $600 below invoice, but i don't like the cinnamon interior, and i don't like beige seats paired with a white exterior (any other exterior would work).
