Finally put a few miles on the D

The dealer was nice enough to supply the car with a full tank. Have driven 260 miles since we received the (used) 335d. 1/3 of the mileage was running a low speed gimmic rally. Still have over 1/2 a tank! Might be another week before I fill up for the 1st time.

Car is performing perfectly. I did get a low oil level indicator once when I parked the car but it was on an incline. Checked the oil and is at the eaxct same level as when we picked up the car, halfway between the marks (Guessing when they did the pre-delivery oil change they only put in 7 liters).

Only other issue which appears to be a E90 thing is the whistling side view mirror which can be heard when the window is open.

Driving a car with a 4500 RPM redline is certainly a different experience.

Redline is actually 5000, but there is hardly a need or reason to go above 4000.
Fortunately, the low-ratio differential results in similar shift points from a speed basis. But it gets from 1200 to 4500 so fast it's hard to keep up with the paddles.
