Anyone Considered A Downpipe

I drove a 535i recently and was thinking the whole time how great it would sound with a downpipe... I was certainly right. This YouTube clip captures the great inline 6 turbo sound with a better flowing exhaust system...

With the tune all together won't cost anymore then a catback. Sounds great but the performance is greatly increased in comparison.

I'm actually shopping around for performance upgrades for when I buy my 535i. I want to make the turbos a little louder and exhaust like what's in this video. What are the best exhaust and turbo upgrades without having to worry about not being able to pass emissions? I was looking at some exhaust that has a electrical flap that you can open close..

The downpipe in this video is carted - passes emissions no smell etc yet still gives a great sound and good performance. The turbo will spool quicker and perform better. Next would be an ECU tune. Then a chargepipe, Intercooler and lastly you can upgrade the turbo. With all this together you'll be seeing about 400hp.

Wow really? Well I guess I should start looking around for what brands and such. What type of tune would you suggest? I plan on doing all of that maybe not the turbos yet. But defenetly cated downpipe, charge pipe, front mount intercooler... Like I said in other posts I'm buying a 2014 535i msport with msport suspension and I want to start getting performance upgrades first thing. Well after I have it walnut blasted.

Get bilstein b8 struts with some eibach springs if you want tighter handling. Low profile pilot super sport tires will help a lot. You'll also want to adjust camber and toe for optimal handling.

For the ecu tune it depends on what's available in your area. Jb4 works fine too.

Do you want better handling? For power mods you cant go wrong with downpipe and tune. Just research the ecu tuning shops in your area or get a jb4

Well that's where I'm contemplating. Do I find the car with the msport suspension and rip it out OR just find a msport fully loaded that may not have msport 704 and add KW coil overs? I'm also looking at a set of 19" or 20" rims.

What? Just buy coilovers. The bilstein eibach setup I mentioned earlier is good too.

Stick to 19 inch rims. Look for light ones

I've got a 2011 528i naturally aspirated 6 cylinder and RWD. I modded the exhaust and installed new rims/Summer tires, style 269 that's about it for performance. also debadged the 528i logo off the rear and tinted the windows for a cleaner look.

Oh yes I'm sorry I have seen this car 8n a post before. Think it was about painting the bumper inlays where the fog lights are.
