I'd like to see more examples of the Renntech though since the one guy on here said his car did the samething on the dyno before he even got the tune. Although really what I'd like to see is the Dinan released and some reviews by owners since if I do something then that would probably be the route I'd take due to relationships with the dealer here and Dinan.

Snipe you must be talking about my experience on the dyno, correct me if i am wrong. I have come to a conclusion and it may as well be maybe my vehicle, which before we tuned it with RENNtech I had the safe mode come on. Yes, it did come on and it went away later after 15 min or so. After we tuned it, we did another Dyno and again it went on safe mode after the first run, I was warned by Lenny @ RENNtech to go easy because if you push to hard thru your gas pedal it will trigger. I imagine some kind of malfunction, now understand this the car is STANDING still and strapped to the floor I believe since the front wheels are not moving the ECU senses there is a problem HENCE, safemode comes in. But mean whill while actually driving it has neve gone safemode.I might be wrong but no one else has had the car tuned and dynoed.If you have ANY questions ask Lenny @ RENNtech he is the Guru on this otherwise I am stupid, LOL

Like I said, would be nice to see more real world examples to better judge it from my seat at least.

It is not even solely about warranty but more about getting something, putting it in, not being tempted to turn it all the way up(because it already is), and not deal with a car that sometimes goes limp or something else that requires messing with it. Then of course there is the alternative method of looking at it which is to get something that offers the most power with the least possibilities of long term issues. Probably a few other arguments, those just pop into my head right now.

I am with you, but as I stated it went on safemode on the dyno not on the road. Sure we all want the best bang for the buck, but that is why they made colors, so that everyone can choose their own, LOL

Dynoing an AWD car on a single axle dyno seems like a really fast way to destroy your differential, no?

Absolute no-no on Porsche AWD systems.

His 335d is the ultra rare AWD model?

Amigos the ltr d was painted,I think the reason car went safemode was cause I DID NOT turn off completely the DSC MODE,next dyno run I will correct this,gracias

I'm new to the forum and like the info you provide. I just got my JBD intalled a few days ago at 70%. I am planning to push the car to the max to see if I get any codes. If not, then 80%, then 90%, then 100%. I think the systematic approach would determine where I end up. I am a computer geek by profession so this makes sense to me at least. Also, how do you turn off both DTC and DSC both. Button on dash only works on DTC?

On my X5d, long pressing the DTC for about 5 seconds results in both traction and stability control off. You will see a warning light and it will stay illuminated. Resets back to normal when you turn the ignition off. Yours should be the same.

I am running my JBD at 100% and have not seen any codes after several weeks. Would love to get the car on a Dyno. Power is exceptional.

Hey guys,

I have had the JBD for about 10 days now. I started at 80% for 2 days, no problem, then to 100%, and its been strong for almost a week now with no issues. Today, we had a litlle rain in Las Vegas, and I even shut off the stabilty/traction control and had a little fun(in a open parking lot) It was realy impressive.

Ok amigos I have the latests UPGRADE on my flash Lenny gave me HIGHER top end and the car feels and sounds like a MONSTER now, cant wait for Dyno runs to give up info, until next time amigos!!
