High pitch sound while parked?

Anyone else notice a high pitch sound from the front end while the car is parked. This only happens sometimes, and seems to eventually go away. I tried locking and unlocking the car but that didnt do anything...thinking it had something to do With the alarm. It's very annoying.

HOLY ****!!!!

YOU ARE THE ONLY OTHER PERSON TO EVER HAVE THIS NOISE!!!!

I am so excited that I am shouting. Wow, I can't believe this. I have had this on my car since the day I picked it up. I brought it to the dealer, they said it was "normal" but I don't think they ever heard it.

It's getting louder. The attached video is from when I first bought the car. Now it is even more loud and more frequent. You can hear it at the end of the video at about 11 seconds. It is faint here. Much louder 11 months later.

Heaven is where the police are British, the cooks are French, the cars are German, the lovers are Italian and it is all organised by the Swiss.

Hell is where the police are German, the cooks are English, the cars are French, the lovers are Swiss, and it is all organised by the Italians

Yours is doing the exact same sound as mine. I only have 500 miles though. I can't believe a car of this cost is doing this kind of crap...come on.

I seem to have the as well, except I hear it when I'm driving. You'll probably have to turn the sound up quite a bit (no, a zombie won't scream at you ) as the vid was made by a passenger and his iPhone.

I had this happen, and the diagnosis was that the rear main oil seal was leaking oil down onto a belt and causing it to squeal.. and that the seal needed to be replaced, which is a big job. Several others have reported needing that repair on here, so get it looked at before something really bad happens.
