2012 x5 premium can Not get consistent internal color unless sport package?

Hi, guys

I just ordered a x5 premium, but to my surprise, I can NOT get consistent internal color unless I add a sport package. I.e. The top part of internal is kind of lighter color, while other part is darker color

Do u guys notice this color difference?

I believe you're referring to the headliner. And, yes there is a difference. With the 'sports package' you get a headliner that is 'anthracite' in color. In essence, it's black and looks very nice especially with black seats. If you don't get the sports package you get a grey headliner with black seats.

If you get the Sand Beige, then the headliner is also beige.

BMW's have been this way for as long as I can remember. Not sure of many / any other brands that are different. What's the big deal?

just personal like consistent color, but feel 2.5k sport package not worth it since i'm not big fan of 20" tire

You can get Sport package with 19" tires; the 20's are an added cost option.

You can have a Beige, Gray or Oyster interior with "consistent color" without ordering the Sport Package. You can only have a Black interior with "consistent color" if you get Sport or M Sport. You "may" be able to order anthracite headliner as an Individual option, but it will cost you $$$.

Those are the options. The X5 is, after all, a mass produced vehicle. If you can't find a combination that works for you, perhaps a BMW is not the right car for you.

You get the sport seats, sport steering wheel, 19" (or 20") wheels, anthracite headliner, black-out exterior trim...

That's worth it.

Thanks for all the info. Could u pls detail how to get gray consistent color? I went to BMW website to build internal color, seems only beige can get similar color, but the middle part is black

That's what sold me

thank guys for all info, i re-build color online, it seems if choose sand beige internal, feel consistent and have good matching with platinum grey external

There's no credit if you are getting vented or comfort seats i'm guessing (since not getting sport seats).

So would be $2.5k just for sport wheel, and 19" rims (which i don't care too much about) + some (minor to me) cosmetic changes . really want the steering wheel, but not that much...

I am a big fan of my black shadow line trim. IMO the chrome/silver doesn't look as clean. Only regret I have is not going with the 19' rims. Summer and winter tires are not cheap and don't last that long as run flats. Damn those kids and the 3rd row
