My 04 530i runs like a champ but my mileage is at 197k. My check engine light just came on today. Is it possibly cuz I'm bout to hit 200k possibly?? Absolutely no other issues. Just had new rotors put on...other than that ZERO issues. How do i remove without BMW is my nxt question??

The engine control module is monitoring the engine with sensors and illuminates the check engine light if something is abnormal.

So you will need someone to read out the error codes and proceed based on that result.

Just had diagnostic but wasnt in depth enough. Just specified issue was in exhaust. Not sure if thats a sensor or timing problem. I will get a more thorough diagnostic tomorrow.
