looking for OEM 17" or bigger wheels for my 2000 Z3

Hi, I live in Long Beach, CA. I'm looking to replace my stock 2000 Z3 16" #59324 rims with new or used ( must be in very good shape ) 17" or 18" "BMW OEM" Z3 rims. Please advice:

Where is the best places to find and economical to purchase?
What sizes works best for handling, comfort, and tire wear?
What tires to get?

Since I need to replace my tires on my 16" asap, I'm taking this opportunity to consider stepping up the wheel size for aesthetic reason mostly, and don't want to turn this into a science project.

Any advice would be "highly" appreciated!! thx, Jon

Shop Craigslist LA and OC area. Lots of wheels/tires for sale.

You can get OEM 17s from about $400-600 with tires. But make sure you they are not bent and tires have life left.

This is just an idea. Check out the Style 86 (Euro) wheels at the start of this thread - the yellow Z3 belongs to a member here. There are more pictures on the other board as well:

A while ago, they were available at an exceptional price at the dealers (special order from Germany). If you like them, check with your local dealer(s) if these are still available.

Separately, I have a BNIB staggered Style 86 set that I bought (after looking at the Z3 pictures) a while back from the local Pensacola dealership. My priorities have changed a bit and I may let my set go. If they are not available at the dealers anymore, and you are interested, shoot me a PM and we can further discuss.

i like the looks of the 17" factory "starfish" wheels but i've read that the 16" are the best balance of handling and comfort. also, if you don't do the staggered setup, you can rotate the wheels which you can't do properly with staggered.

Style 5s might look pretty sexy on the Z3
