post your likely config

328i @ $34,900
Sport line @ $2500
Adaptive suspension @ $900
variable sport steering @ $300
Harmon/Sirius @ $900
glacier silver @ $550
xenon @ $900
black/red leatherette @ $0
bluetooth assist @ $650
heated seats @ $500
destination @ $895 (ouch! when did this go up? shipping rates are down globally...)
____________
$42,995

http://thebimmerblog.com/files/1/2/5...ompleteF30.pdf

Kind of crappy as this doesn't include leather, a moonroof or power seats. Had to add heated front seats and bluetooth, reluctantly. Not sure what happens if you omit navigation / technology package. Do you get no information screen at all, just a 1990s harmon radio with a 2 line red display? Then you kind of have to get ZTP @ $2550, and you'd be stupid not to add BMW apps for another $250.

Basically this car gets to $46k pretty quickly even with major omissions like no leather, no moonroof - but you can get an S4 with all that stuff standard and like 100 extra horsepower for the same price. Literally, a car that does 12 seconds in the 1/4 mile. An S4 is $46,300 MSRP with the "BMW conquest please switch to Audi" discount.

West - you can't order this car. Xenons require premium package. And bluetooth comes standard on all 3 series cars now.

Ugh. OK so:

328i @ $34,900
Sport line @ $2500
Premium Package @ $3600
Tech package @ $2550
BMW apps @ $250
Adaptive suspension @ $900
variable sport steering @ $300
Harmon/Sirius @ $900
glacier silver @ $550
xenon @ $900
black/red dakota leather @ $0
heated seats @ $500
destination @ $895
____________
$48,745

Uh. A little steep for a 2 liter turbo. I'll stick with the 350 hp beast.

I dislike paying for features such as the premium package or BMW Assist -- now that Bluetooth is standard -- to simply get other features such as Xenon's, comfort access, and BMW Apps that I would like to normally order. Xenon's not being a separate option is also disappointing.

These are estimated invoice prices for the options I am planning to order and estimated European delivery invoice price as well.

European Delivery wholesale/invoice for 2012 328i 29905
Heated Front Seats 455
Premium sound 865
Technology 2320
Folding seats 435
Destination 895
34875 + dealer profit over invoice and tax and title

Without the folding seats, does this car come with a ski pass through? If it does, I'll probably skip the folding seats since I can't picture needing to fold them that often. I am frugal but sometimes lazy as well so I hate unpacking and packing my Garmin GPS and I am a bit of a techie so the HUD is appealing to me.

I don't know. After seeing the Msport I am so loving the Estoril blue and Msport package. Doh!!

west, can't you find an Audi forum that's as interesting as Bimmerfest? You really have become nothing more than a troll here with a car that MUST be AWD or it's just another front driver.

Forget the crappy Dallas dealers and buy elsewhere. I did! I'll be happily driving my F30 home to dallas from Atlanta since I got a great deal from someone who knew what he was doing and was extremely easy to work with.

Um. I came on here to buy a car. My woman can't drive stick and she is nagging me about a 2nd car in the house. Then I priced out a normal 3 series with a 2.0L turbo and it came out to $45,000. This car used to cost $35k. I just want to know what's up? When we went from e46 to e90 you got a better car with more power for less money. If you go from an e90 to an F30 you're getting a 328i for a 335i price.

Adding my endorsement of the above.

Newbies: westwest88 is a known audi fanboy troll who comes here to bash BMW and praise audi. The best response to anything he posts is no response.

Allow me to clarify: German car fanboy with no particular allegiance to which manufacturer assembles a bunch of Bosch and ZF parts and throws a marque on the hood.

Is no one else offended at the sticker price?

I test drove an S4 not long back. It was a nice car, but couldn't even begin to compete with the 335 in terms of driving fun. (in my opinion, of course.) If the F30 335i that I have on order drives anything even remotely close to as great as the E90 then it'll still be an easy winner over the S4.

Not to mention that I'm confused about some of the pricing I see posted on here about the S4, because the one I test drove (which was spec'd the way I would want one) was MSRP right at $60k.

I wasn't super impressed when I drove the S4. Although it wasn't a long drive. It does look outstanding, though.

How was your deal with Adrian? He is my CA as well and I live in Florida. Cannot wait to place an order for a 328i. The suspense is killing me.

Adrian has been great! Has made the process very easy and got my order in and confirmed for the first day they are doing ED of F30's several weeks back when everybody else I talked to was saying they couldn't order yet. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss details.
