Why the free fall prices?

I'm looking for an M3 but I'm always running into M5's that are either the same price or even cheaper. What gives? Is the V10 and/or SMG the liability?

come on guys, someone has to have an opinion on this

After the 550 wreck and looking for a M5 I am finding most of the M5's are coming out of warranty. Most of the forums I am reading is saying stay away from them since they are expensive to maintain. I got my new to me M5 with 58000 miles, most of the service is done but it was slightly wrecked. I would like to get it back to show room looks but even the dealer isn't wanting to touch it. My SA told me there are just a few in town and most are kept instead of drove. I drive mine and they cringe every time I walk into the door.. just my two cents.. now dinner time..

These cars are bulletproof...but when they brake they cost some but not more
Then other higher priced car
I bought mine new and not selling ..as of prices yes they are low but remember when cars
Are driven and used they are going to depreciate even faster in value.
If u find a good example buy it.
I feel this cars looks better then new one coming out...of course my opinion.

What determines a cars resale value is 1. What they are going for on auction, 2. What gas is going for. So bigger engines use more gas so that makes them have less demand, 3. And also what time of the year it is. I.e sports car sell better during the summer and SUVs during the winter times.
