Owning a 2006 or newer BMW M5!
I'm going to purchase a BMW M5 2006 our newer FOR MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT. Just was wondering how is the maintenance and should I purchase a M5 with more than 60,000? Because I heard how you have to worry about the clutch going out. Or it doesn't matter?

I Purchased my 2006 M5 about a month ago, with 67k and i only did because it had extended warranty, and I already have to say thank goodness for Warranty!

M5
I have a 2006 M5 with 56,500k miles. I still have 1 more year of warranty.
I had to change the clutch at 55K and this will be very individual depending on I don't know what. $2,400 I have also had a water pipe to the radiator fixed. $600 At 56k they had to repalce a sensor in the gearbox - under warranty - $0. Over the last 2 years it has cost me the above $3,000 and a set of tires for another $1,500. With all that said it is a brilliant car and it puts a smile on my face every time i get into it. Would I own it without a warranty? I do not think so. In 1 year when the warranty is up I will probably buy another with a CPO and get 3 more years |
