Removing of old on-board phone system to make way for facelift Bluetooth system

Next stage....removing the BMW telephone from the front drawer
and replacing it with the facelift tray.

Another riveting video from the vaults of ACEFX. This is the first step I am taking to completely removing the old on-board telephone system and replacing it with the facelift Bluetooth phoneme system with the new TCU.
I can still use my current on-board phone system whilst this mod is only stage 1.
Stay tuned for more posts.

Did mine today !

my box had 2 boards the one that holds the sim and charges the junk phone that was in there, plus another connected to this one by a cable snap in plugs from board to board.

leaving the just the sim board connected caused the car to keep searching saying "reading data" and stalled so i eventually plugged the second board in and all is well.

Heap of room now, dealer wanted $89 plus gst for the insert may just line it , thieves!!

NB they wanted $90 just for the panel that covers the cdc opening !! thieves!!

rant over

Thx Ace

I buy all my bits from new from Euroactive in the States. I don't buy anything new in Oz because it is soooooooo expensive.

The guys name is Justin and I have done heaps of business with him and he is very good, quick and reliable and always answers my emails within hours, sometimes within minutes.
