Brake light warning, bulbs constantly on
I have been experiencing an electrical gremlin in my 325 convertible lately and could use a little help. It started with the top controls going dead shortly followed by a warning light combination of airbag, seatbelt and rollover lights. Then, almost overnight it changed to brake light and seatbelt warning lights. I also lose all functions in my steering wheel controls and radio power. My Peake tool gives me a code of 19, 2d and 76 which seems to be the toggle switch for the steering wheel.
After reading through a couple of forums I replaced the brake light switch and took my trunk lid apart looking for a short or bad ground and found no problems. I read about resetting the OBC by turning the steering wheel from one extreme to the other and it seemed to have worked on two different occasions only to have the warning lights return immediately. It's irritating to see the warning lights disappear and the radio turn on and then regress back the next time I start the car. Should I have left the car running when the lights go back to normal for a period of time? I have attached a short video of my warning lights and would appreciate any input.
