Well some posters are saying that pretty model type girls are high maintenance. I do know so average to below average girls who are high maintenance also. I don't understand why some girls think they are so hot.

One poster said the guy with the model is having a lot of problems. Well, I believe a guy with the ugly girl is also having his own problems. So if you are having problems, why not have the nice BMW and the nice model.

When I met my husband in 1990, he was driving a 1974 Olds Omega and could barely pay his rent. 21 years later he drives his dream car, a 1968 Mustang Fastback. In 1990 I was driving a 1985 Honda CRX and was working for minimum wage. Today I have a 2011 X3 and it's my dream car.

I picked him for who he was, not what he drove. One could almost say I picked him despite what he drove. The brown "Oldsmo-Buick" was NOT a chick magnet!

And with regards to the convertible discussion, we had a Z3 for 10 years. We both loved to drive it around with the top down until I had a little issue with skin cancer. And then he was the only one with the top down. So it goes....!

When I met my wife I had 2 BMW's and a Porsche 911. They were cars to her nothing more. In fact, since we lived in different states and met over the internet (a Match.com Success story) and did not actually meet face to face for 4 months she had no idea what I drove for a while. In the beginning we communicated via email and eventually graduated to phone calls. By the time we finally met face to face we had a very good idea of who each other really was.

My wife is the most beautiful woman in the world and gets better looking every day. I would not trade her for the most well known supermodel. Beauty is fleeting and age has a way of taking it's toll on our bodies. If you select your soul mate based on outward appearance alone you will be setting yourself up for a dismal life. Look instead for the quality of their character and the values they have. In the long run that is much more important.

Though I think perhaps it may be time for a bit of change. The wife ordered a Space Gray X3 which we will head to Greenville, SC and pick up via the Performance Center Delivery Experience on February 16th. Her 05 MINI Cooper S was a dark pewter color and I find myself looking at the pewter or titainium colors too. White sure does look classy though there is no arguing with that. And it is so much easier to keep clean looking than dark colors in my opinion.

have had my car now nearly 6 months and still like the white alot, still look at it thinking yes, nice car which is the important thing, as long as you like it. my partner has a black car (clk63 amg) and i spend more time cleaning that than mine, we live in a rural area so theres alot of dust around but on the plus side, empty roads !

Truthfully, the brand perception of bimmers is out of control and overrated. Get an entry level model and people will think you are some high-rolling mover and shaker (more so if with m-sport, LOL) with a babe magnet, even though some Toyotas can be more expensive.

With these numbers, 3, 5, 6, 7 series... I wonder what would happen if BMW made a 10 or 11 series... WOW

My wife couldn't even tell the difference between a 328i and an M3, although to me the differences are glaringly obvious. She once mistook a 6-series for a 3er coupe. I reckon that 99% of the population is like this. Especially now that they all look like the same sausage. All that is recognizable is the roundel which will be enough attract "chicks". So to answer OP's question, pick a BMW, any model. No comment on what kind of "chick" you'll attract though, as many other posters have alluded.

(My wife agreed to marry me at a time when I was poor, car-less and taking public transportation. All I had going for me was good looks.)
