2013 iDrive "forgets" settings?

Compared to the 2011 version, it appears the new one forgets a lot.

Case in point is the split screen. On my 2011, it remembered my map view.
On the new one, it always reverts to trip computer.

Anyone else see this?

The system probably goes back to saved profile settings upon restarts.

Mine forgets the PDC volume every time i start the car.

weird. Mine was reverting to trip computer (MY2012) and then it just started doing the map on its own (the right setting)
