How many of you have received a BMW Pen in the mail?

Nice Carbon Fiber barrel.

Got mine last month on the second anniversary of my D ownership.

My 3 month anniversary with the car was yesterday, and no gifts yet...

I bought my D in July. Gut the key shaped USB drive a few weeks ago. No pen yet but it sounds cool.

I got the pen, wish I'd got the USB drive since I'd use that far more often.

I got mine a couple of months ago.

But the USB Flash drives costs under $10 for an 8GB or $15 for a 16GB drive while the BMW Pen well over $100!

I don't really care about cost when free to me. I just always need flash drives. Pens are easy enough to steal from hotels.

I got the USB drive....dealer gave me a free pen which resides in the glove box. Have received nothing on the 535i that I picked up a month ago.

On my one year, I got sketch of the prototype of my car. Nice, but a pen would be more practical. Is the ink replaceable?

I forgot about the sketch, I think that I did just toss though and at least the pen I will use. It looks like a decently made pen so I'd assume the ink is replaceable.

I got the sketch at one year. It's in a drawer.

The pen has a repaceable ink cartridge. I usually lose them before I run out of ink!

My 2nd anniversary was 5 days ago...nothing yet.

Personally, I wish BMW would cease with the cheesy gifts and concentrate on providing quality cars that buyers want to drive. Let's see, how about a 535d or a 730d? Also, what about a 120d and a 5 series Touring? A simple email follow up asking about our ownership experience would appeal more to me than a cheap sketch or a pen that few really need or want. Just my 2 cents.

Sounds like this might be a record turnaround? I guess I'm in the minority, but I like this stuff. I'll be watching for my prototype sketch....

I was also given a 3-year suscription of the BMW Magazine right from day 1.

Buckeye, is that a pen drive? USB thingy? Looks like a key fob? I did not get one of those.

It's a USB drive. It is really solid and has a heavy feel to it.

Little depressing that the USB drive is only a 2GB!

I hear you. I bit the bullet on my 535i because I realized that the 535d was not looking like a reality anytime soon. If BMW brings over the 535d or 735d I will probably trade my 535i in and get one. I really like my 335d....more than I ever thought I would. The fuel economy is just an added benefit.
