Dynamic Drive Mfalfunction

Hi Im a new member with a big problem, I own a 2003 BMW 745Li and on my way home the Dynamic Drive Malfunction ligh came on and the car was hard to streer. shorty after that the battery when die. what could be the problem?

Dynamic drive is dependant on Power Steering fluid and that normally would also explain the lack of steering control. However, a belt would also explain the problem, especially since your battery indicator emitted. Thne belt drives the steering pump and alternator.

Most likely an issue with the alternator or the alternator belt...I would be surprised if the belt just snapped on it's own...more often than not the alternator will seize...the engine continue to try to turn the alternator and the belt snaps.
