Since aquiring my 530 a few months ago @122k km:
Thermostat, waterpump, oil filter housing gasket, VCG, power steer hose clamps, general service - NZ$1300. Fixed right rear door vapour barrier - $0. Replaced right front underskirt thingy (with temp sensor in it) - $330. Replaced cabin filters - $110. Solved "gym sock pong" with mould killer $15. Experimented with LED AE's - looked stupid... $70. Reverted to stock halo's. Adjusted park brake - as good as it will get... $0. Euro shaped plates - a huge rip off... The ABS module had just been replaced by previous owner, as had the tyres and spark plugs. To do: Transmission fluid replace. (no issues though) Repaint of front end, polish headlights. Check out suspension components (no issues though)

Since August 2010 I've had the tranny rebuilt, installed new shocks and replaced the windshield wiper cowl. I still have a plethora of items to tend to.

Installed 6 NGK 3199 spark plugs. Easy to do thanks to all the info here. Replaced one high beam bulb (H7) Added a quart of Mobil 1. Still need to do: Change ignition coil(s) if misfires continue. Check fuel filter... Change thermostat Diagnosis why DSC light is always on. Constantly check on radiator. So far so good. Change out cracked windshield Repair tailgate struts, 2x4 is working fine though. |

yellow fog light housings installed and took off HID kit. i had yellow lamin-x on my old housings but didn't like the look since you could still see some of the clear on the edges. as for the removal of HID...i could never get 3000k bulbs to look quite right (morimoto 3000k bulbs looked too green even with yellow film), it was interfering with my ambient temperature sensor somehow, and i keep reading about how HID fog lights actually make visibility in heavy fog WORSE. plus i don't like blinding other drivers. the new fogs look AWESOME and i'm just using the regular bulbs that came with them. no need to put in my yellow nokyas
edit: forgot to mention i have a leaking heater hose on the passenger side near the firewall, luckily it only leaks when the heater is on since my control valve is fine. and the day after that happened, my hood release cable broke. excellent timing. today i took the handle off and took apart my lower dash, but the cable was so messed up i couldn't pull it with pliers. then i tried the method through the kidney grill and the junction box is so dried up i couldn't get it to budge. i don't have a new cable yet so i'll wait for that to come in and then replace it. then i'll lube everything up so nothing else brakes. so guys...KEEP YOUR HOOD RELEASE CABLE LUBED PROPERLY

I did the Mtech front and rear bumper upgrade. With AC SHCNITZER rear roof wing, M5 rear spoiler, AC Schnitzer front spoilers, Sink drain front air scoops, AE's (and had to make my own wiring) . Even managed to paint the roof top gloss black. Next up is to start cutting up my trunk.

I "Glossified" the kidney grills. They were already flat black, but in order to utilize Plast-Dip's Glossifier, you need to have a base consisting of something Plasti-Dip'd. After five or six coats of the Glossfier though, I wasn't getting the glossy look I wanted so I let it dry overnight and this morning added a couple of coats of Duplicolor clear coat on top of the Glossifier layers. The end result is pleasing:
