Does this car even have one?

I was looking threw the repair manual for the BMW 1989 535i. I was looking at a picture of the underside of the car and didn't notice a rack and pinion. Just a gearbox and pitman arm.

Does this car model even have a rack and pinion or no?

Does it just use a gearbox and other steering components?

E34 has a steering box, no rack and pinion gear steering. It is adjustable, from reading the posts on here and reading the Bentley manual.
