Hard steering on right turns

Got a strange issue and could not find any mention of it already posted. At slow speed (like pulling into a parking spot) steering is very hard only on right turns. It is not noticeable at speed. Any ideas? Car is an '02 M5 w 96k miles. Thanks, joe

I had this after I grenaded the PS pump. The theory was that debris was flushed into the steering box, clogging up one of the orifices that is used for turning on direction.

I flushed it repeatedly and it fixed it, but took 2 tries over several months. (and I am talking EXCESSIVE flushes, not a $129 dealer PS service special)

Thanks. I had my mechanic do a flush, ran for 2 weeks with a cleaner in the system, then flushed again w no luck. I want to try again but not for $200 each. Did you do this yourself and if so can you provide some details on how and what tools used. Thanks again.
