Lots of discussion on the board about pricing, option combinations, likely markups over invoice, etc, etc, but little from anyone who has already placed an actual order.

THIS THREAD IS FOR INPUT FROM THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY PLACED AN ORDER.

Please share exact combination ordered.
Please share exact sale price, including markup over invoice or markdown from msrp.
Please share production week, expected delivery date, and any other details you wish to share.

I called my guy today, and he said i can get on the list...But that i couldn't order my specific options and what not probably till january. Had a second dealer confirm this depressing information he said he ordered a ED car, but was having selecting options(but no us f30 ordering yet). I was getting ready to place my order on thursday. I wanted february delivery, now it looks like it will be in march sometime

Yeah, I actually got Aluminum Trim (on the dashboard) with high-gloss black strip. I must have made a mistake in my excel file (screenshot above), although I've confirmed my actual ordering form from the dealer.

Yea, im gonna have to call the dealer back...i dont think they GM was trying to screw me over becuase we tried a few differnt things while ordering the car...in order to get the black leather with red contrast, we had to include fold down rear seats...will call next week and see if it can be fixed.

it shows that 4AD/4DL is the aluminum and black gloss.

Finally got time to sanitize this so I can post it. Vehicle Inquiry Report showing my F30 order. Loaded 335i in Mineral Grey with Sport Line, all the packages, and a few other options...

Scheduled for ED on March 1. Now I have almost 3 months of waiting

Just wondering how much under msrp or how much over invoice you were able to get.
Any incentives like $1000 financing credit?

I'm doing ED and am paying $1000 over ED Invoice. (Typical story on ED - since it doesn't come out of a dealer's allocation, they are usually willing to sell with a pretty small markup over invoice - plus they make the sell with very little effort and zero cash tied up in inventory.)

Haven't done financing yet, but I'll be shocked if BMW FS offers any special financing on the new model.

CA emailed it to me as a PDF since we're doing this all remotely (I'm in Dallas - he's in Atlanta) so I could verify the order was correct.

The invoice prices on bmwconfig.com are *very* close to accurate (there are a few options/packages that are < $5 off), so you can use that. I can't say for sure that the base invoice prices are correct on bmwconfig for all models, but it does show the correct invoice for my ED 335i. (Or, if you just assume invoice is 91% of MSRP, you'll be within a few dollars on everything.)

Nice, so invoice is probe 38,500...so thats like a 3700 spread...they gonna have to take off like 2k for me. Let them make their $$ on the next guy lol

Yes, I have found for the base price of the vehicle, invoice is 92% of MSRP. For all options, invoice is 91% of MSRP. I think they generally round to the nearest 5 or 10 dollar increment. Handling and destination stays at $895.

$1,730 seems like an awful lot for the Premium Package given what you get with it.

Are you kidding me? I have never seen a better BMW option package. It includes leather, moonroof, power seats, auto diming mirrors, lumbar, comfort access, garage door. The price is 3,600 for 328i and even then, it beats any other package I have seen.

For $1,730 he got:

Comfort Access
Auto dimming mirrors
Universal garage door opener

Seems pretty paltry to me

Absolutely incorrect! The leather seating alone invoices for $1320, and I consider leather seats to be a 'must have' for a luxury car... So I paid $410 for the 3 items you list. I would happily pay twice that JUST for the Comfort Access to be able to get into the car and drive off without ever having to take the keys out of my pocket. Likewise, I would pay at least the $410 to have the garage door opener built into the car.

The premium package is a bargain, for sure!

The one I thought was pretty pricy was the technology package, but I'm a gadget freak and couldn't pass on the real-time traffic and the HUD. :-)

That's true that it doesn't list leather along with the other package items because it is listed up top under "upholstery", but leather seating is part of the Premium Package - has been for years on the 3 series and that hasn't changed. Check the thread with the Ordering Guide if you don't believe me.

Leather is included standard with the 335i. Thus it is no longer part of the Premium Package. Which is why the price for the Premium Package is $1,730 and includes only the three items listed. Which mean those three items, grouped under the Premium Package heading, cost $1,730. Which makes this variant of the Premium Package a poor value.

Comfort Access used to be a $500 standalone option. Subtract that out and he's paying $1,230 for auto dimming mirrors and the garage door opener. A really poor value, IMO. The only thing that would make it a better value is if the price of CA increased. Even at $1,000 for CA $730 seems a lot to pay for auto dimming mirrors and the garage door opener.
